Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest / bust.
Pass it under the arms and across the shoulder blades, keeping it level.
Breathe normally and keep the tape snug, not tight.

Tip: Wear a non-padded top, or measure over a thin layer.

—Use a soft measuring tape. If you only have a rigid one, wrap a string around, mark it, then measure the string against a ruler.
—Measure over light clothing or bare skin — never over thick layers.
—Keep the tape snug but not tight: you should be able to slip one finger underneath.
—Keep the tape level and parallel to the floor as it goes around your body.
—Stand relaxed and upright, looking straight ahead — don’t hold your breath.
—If you can, ask someone to help. It’s far more accurate than measuring yourself.
—If you fall between two values, round up.
